Through hard work activists in Duluth, St. Paul, Minneapolis, Grand Rapids and all points in between have introduced S.F. 17 and H.F. 217 to the Minnesota Legislature. Working in partnership with Sen. John Marty (DFL-66) these bills, when passed, will demand that Congress propose a Constitutional amendment stripping corporations of their “personhood” and declaring that money is not speech. Furthermore, if no action is taken, then Minnesota will call for a Constitutional Convention under Article V of the Constitution. These bills are the strongest introduced to date. By organizing their neighbors, hosting house parties, and collecting signatures before moving on to St. Paul, they have ensured a loud consensus will be heard in support of this legislation and that their state representatives listen. Y’all have done great work. Good luck to you Minnesota!
