An astonishing 92.1% of signatures submitted by Brecksville residents on their petition calling on the city to call on Congress to pass a constitutional amendment ending corporate personhood and money as speech were recently deemed valid by the Cuyahoga Board Board of Elections.
Somewhere between 60-65% is usually considered good. By comparison, the first round of signatures collected for redistricting in Ohio was about 58%.
But 92.1%! That's off the charts.
Congrats to all the petitioners who double checked residency and petitions. That's People Power!
FYI, the petition has been challenged by the city as unconstitutional. A hearing before the Board of Elections is Tuesday, August 28. Details soon.
