The Conscious Elders Network (CEN) is an educational, non-profit organization fostering a movement of vital elders, dedicated to growing in consciousness while actively addressing the demanding challenges facing our country. We work inter-generationally for social and economic justice, environmental stewardship, and sound governance. We bring our multiple talents and resources, offering these in service to the goal of preserving and protecting life for all generations to come.
We began as an organization in April 2014 and have now grown to represent over 3000 elders across the US. We have a very strong effort in advocating climate change disruption legislation, and we have begun a parallel group focused on addressing racial inequality and racism. We are very interested in adding a third area of activism focusing on restoring our democracy, and thus our interest in being an active part of the Move to Amend campaign.
In parallel to our activism projects we are developing two other branches of activity - Education and Community Building. They both complement the activism branch. The Education branch provides both knowledge conveyance and increasing awareness to what we must know and manifest to be effective activists. The Community Building branch provides our outreach effort to attract more elders to this movement.
