Dayton City Commission Passes Resolution

February 18, 2015

The Dayton (Ohio) City Commission passed a resolution on February 18, 2015 calling for an amendment to the US Constitution to overturn the US Supreme Court’s “Citizens United v Federal Election Commission” ruling and to declare that constitutional rights are for people and elections are not for sale.

In its resolution, the Commission noted the importance of free and fair elections, and the fact that We the People never granted constitutional rights to corporations.

Members of Greater Dayton Move to Amend requested the resolution at a Commission meeting in November.
