In November 1999, a cross-border, cross-sector coalition converged on Seattle and derailed the expansion of the World Trade Organization.
20 years later, Jefferson County Move to Amend is sponsoring a commemorative event with the Washington Fair Trade Coalition and several other organizations, that will reignite the energy around transforming the global economy in the favor of people, workers, communities, and the planet.

2. 3:30 PM Trade Justice Workshops at Town Hall Seattle on the cross-sections of trade with environment, labor, public health, food sovereignty, Indigenous sovereignty, tech, immigration, militarism, and cross-border activism.
3. 7:30 PM Keynote with Nobel Laureate Joseph Stiglitz, preceded by an Action Orientation with Lori Wallach.
