Frank Hribar - Ohio MTA Coordinating Committee Candidate

March 30, 2016

I have been active in Move to Amend since 2013 and am a member of the Mentor affiliate.  I feel that MTA is the best movement for reigning in corporate personhood and money in politics.  I have been to all three Statewide Gatherings and have sat on the Coordinating Committee since 2014.

I helped lead Mentor MTA through a successful ballot initiative drive.  I also helped with several other ballot initiative drives including Cleveland Heights, Toledo, and Cleveland.  I have been trying to get others interested in starting affiliates and ballot initiatives in other communities throughout Lake, Cuyahoga and Geauga Counties.  I also serve on our State Action committee and the National MTA Labor Caucus.

I’ve been very politically active since I retired in 2005.  I graduated from the US Merchant Marine Academy in 1980 and spent the next 25 years working on ships.  I was involved in vessel operations, maintenance and shipyard repairs as an engineer.  There I learned the experience to put together teams and inspire others toward a common goal.

I have taken that experience onto the campaign trail with great results.  I would like to offer my abilities and persistence to continue serving on the State Coordinating Committee.
