10 Reasons to Vote NO on State Issue 2

The Move to Amend Ohio Network and Northeast Ohio American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) have joined the growing number of organizations which oppose State Issue 2.

Issue 2 will take power away from citizens to amend the state constitution by making it harder for citizens to pass many types, if not virtually all types, of citizen initiatives. This will likely make it even easier for corporations to control our government.

Toledo City Council failed to Act upon our proposed Move to Amend Democracy Day ordinance by August 24 and, by City Charter rules, our ballot issue was submitted back to the Board of Elections.  It’s now confirmed that we will be on the March 15, 2016 Presidential Primary Election ballot.
