The Plan for Success in 2018—Call Your Senators/Representatives FIRST!
2018 will be a big year for Move To Amend. Support for the We The People Amendment jumped to 52 cosponsors at the end of 2017, well surpassing our 2018 goal!
BUT there's no reason to stop that momentum since we must keep growing the movement including securing a Senate introduction of the amendment!
We need YOUR help targeting Senators/Reps quickly in 2018!
All it takes is a few clicks to send a message to your legislator telling them to join the 444,000 others that support movement to amend the Constitution.
Here's what else you can do to make this happen:
- Write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper and ask your Senators BY NAME to introduce the companion bill to HJR 48. Senators definitely pay attention when their name shows up in the paper. If you're willing to do this task, please sign up here and we'll send you information to get started!
- Call your Senators by phone and urge them to introduce a Senate companion bill to House Joint Resolution 48! Click here to get their phone numbers.
- Donate to support our efforts! We fell short on our end of year fundraising campaign and we need your support! We can't vote our way out of this mess. Only a 28th Amendment can solve this problem.
We've also got a lot of other goals to achieve in 2018!
- 300 Pledge to Amend signups (at least 50% of candidates elected on election day)
- 750,000 Motion to Amend petition signers
- 1,800 active volunteer leaders
- 130 active Move to Amend Affiliate Groups
- 8-20 state Move to Amend State Chapters
- 3 Regional Convergences
- Create a Political Action Committee to support and oppose state or federal candidate campaigns
2018 is set to be an incredibly tough and eventful year. We must remain vigilant against the chaos coming out of the Trump Administration while continuing to grow the movement to amend the Constitution—the only hope to create a real democracy. Get involved!
We give our heart-felt thanks to all the democracy champions who have co-sponsored the We the People Amendment! Share your appreciation by sending them a thank you message!

Stamp Out Corporate Rule!
Why are multi-national corporations paying zero taxes?
Why do prescription drugs cost more in the U.S. than any other country?
Why do private prisons profit from mass incarceration?
Because our politicians only listen to those with the most money! Let's send Congress a message on something they seem to know and love quite well.
