May 10th will be the 127th anniversary of the Supreme Court case of Santa Clara County v. Southern Pacific Railroad, in which the corporate lawyers used the 14th Amendment to convince the court that fictional corporate persons have rights under the Constitution. In commemoration of that infamous decision, MTA chapters all over the nation will exhibit a giant freeway banner at rush hour.
The April 8th meeting of MTA- Ukiah will be constructing such a banner. But we still don't know exactly what to write. Do you have suggestions for a succinct slogan to put on the banner? We need your input.
Come join us at 6:30 pm April 8th at the Mendocino Environmental Center (MEC), 106 W. Standley St.in Ukiah for a barrel of fun constructing a giant freeway banner like the example shown here.
