SUPPORT MOVE TO AMEND: PLEASE DONATE!
Move to Amend's 28th Amendment has been buildling momentum since it was introduced in January!
Having quickly reached our goal in the House of Representatives with 42 cosponsors and counting, our volunteers are gearing up for the next big push for another big 2017 strategic goal: Introduce the We the People Amendment in the Senate for the first time with 5 co-sponsors!
Thanks House Joint Resolution 48 continues to gain support in the House of Representatives with new cosponsors: Representatives Seth Moulton (MA), Janice Schakowsky (IL), Marcy Kaptur (OH), Jim McGovern (MA)! This brings our total to 42.
Move to Amend volunteers are hard at work to recruit additional cosponsors and we're gearing up for a big push during the August recess to reach another strategic plan goal for 2017:
Let your Congress member know how corporate rule is destroying democracy and how they can take steps to protect and expand it.
Has your representative signed on yet? Don't let them off the hook! There are still House representatives who cosponsored the We the People Amendment in last session and need to sign on now: Ed Perlmutter (CO), Mark DeSaulnier (CA), Judy Chu (CA).
We give our heart-felt thanks to our newest co-sponsors and all the democracy champions who have already co-sponsored the We the People Amendment! Share your appreciation by sending them a thank you message!

If you want to strengthen democracy where it matters most ... in our communities, our schools, our workplaces and local economies, our military, our government, our media, our constitution ... you will find something inspiring in Minneapolis, Minnesota this August 2-6, 2017. Join us at the third national Democracy Convention.
More than one conference, the Democracy Convention houses ten conferences under one roof. As the great progressive reformer Fighting Bob La Follette said, "democracy is a life," and "involves constant struggle" in all sectors of society. With the Democracy Convention, we recognize the importance of each of these separate democracy struggles, as well as the need to unite them all in a common, deeply rooted, broad based, movement for democracy.
Pledge to Amend is our campaign to hold our candidates and elected officials accountable to the movement to amend.
Are your elected officials on record as committing to support the Movement to Amend? What about candidates running for local or state office this year?
➤➤ Move to Amend is only possible because of generous people like you who are part of our movement. Welcome, and thank you!
It isn't pretty, but our updated U.S. is probably more accurate than the original stars and stripes!
This flag day and every day, fly the flag of corporate rule (upside down maybe?) to call out that our democracy should serve We the People, not large corporations.
