Move to Amend - Kitsap makes petition drop at State Senator Jan Angel's office.

Move to Amend - Kitsap and others visit Senator Jan Angel's District office.
August 5, 2015

About a dozen citizens, made up of members of Move to Amend - Kitsap and constituents of Senator Jan Angel's district, made a "petition drop" co-organized by "Public Citizen". The petition asked Senator Angel to acknowledge and respond to a letter circulating in the Washington State Legislature. That letter (see attached file) in part, asks for a Constitutional Amendment to overturn the 2010 Supreme Court's "Citizens United" ruling. To date (November 1, 2015) Senator Angel has not responded to our request via Move to Amend - Kitsap. One of our members though, Larry Sukut, had been in communication with Senator Angel during this same time period, and likewise asked for a response to the "letter". Senator Angel finally responded to him with an email that contained only this;

"Larry as the Supreme Court has ruled on this with all the information they have and that they have studied I will not oppose their decision at this time." Senator Jan Angel.  (I wonder how Senator Angel feels about the Supreme Court's ruling in Roe v. Wade.)

It should be noted that according to the website of A.L.E.C.,  Senator Jan Angel is listed as the Washington State chair for the corporate "bill mill".

We will continue to ask Senator Jan Angel to serve her constituents, instead of special interests and corporate entities.
