The local Move to Amend affiliate for Portland, Oregon.

We meet the third Wednesday each month starting at 7 PM. Location:  First Unitarian Church, SW 12th and Salmon, Portland OR

Specifics:  Enter the building midway between SW Main and Salmon on SW 12th Ave.  Walk down the brick pathway and enter using the door on the right.  Look for directory for the specific room number.  Also, if not much is happening at the church the door will be locked at 7:15 PM and the staff will be working somewhere in the buildings and be unable to open the doors.  So please be no later than 7:15.

Victory: Oregon Governor Finally Sides with Hood River County Over Nestlé

This past Friday, Governor Brown officially backed out of a crucial deal that would have let Nestlé build a $50 million water bottling plant in Cascade Locks. The Governor told the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife to officially withdraw an application that set aside up to 225 gallons per minute from Oxbow Springs for commercial sale.

Move to Amend is Touring With Neil Young in October!

Move to Amend is *thrilled* to announce that we have been invited to join Neil Young on his upcoming tour for his new studio album, The Monsanto Years.

Neil and team have invited 5 non-profits to join his tour to help raise awareness about the corporate takeover of farming and of our food supply, as well as climate change and other environmental issues, and Move to Amend is one of them.

Multnomah County Resolution

The office of Multnomah County Chair Jeff Cogen has confirmed that the proposed resolution presented to the county by Move to Amend PDX will have a hearing and likely a vote on January 10, 2013.  The resolution will be very much like that which has been proposed for passage by the Oregon legislature in 2013.  That is available on the Oregon Rest
