Lets get out there with our petitions and gather the signatures needed to place the Move To Amend Initiative on the ballot this November!


Memorial Day Parade (30 May) Veterans Park

The United Veterans Council of Kent County will be hosting the annual Memorial Day Parade on Wednesday, 30 May, 2012 at 7:00 pm downtown Grand Rapids. The parade will form under the Michigan St. overpass and will begin on Division to Fulton then East to Veterans Park where a ceremony will be held after the parade.

In West Michigan, the “start of summer” always starts with Festival of the Arts! The 43rd annual Festival happens June 1-2-3 throughout downtown Grand Rapids - a fabulous event bringing the community together for three days of nonstop entertainment and fun! Festival is a can’t-miss event for kids, teens, families - anyone who loves a good time and a great party! Six stages of performers, a huge juried art show, art for sale, art activities, and of course, culinary arts - thanks to the area nonprofit organizations who offer ethnic yumminess at 30 Festival food booths. Best of all, all Festival performances and exhibits are presented free of charge!

Adult and childrens and musical groups of a literary nature will read and speak. Presentations, book charactor parade, poetry readings and Beatles tribute band. 10:00 am - 5:30 pm
