Brown Bag Democracy Talk with Move to Amend’s National Spokesperson, David Cobb
April 16, 2015
David Cobb, a stimulating speaker, will lead casual conversation on US democracy's challenges. He will explain why people, not corporations, are entitled to have constitutional rights, and that corporate money was not meant to be a deciding factor in our electoral system. Mr. Cobb is spokesperson for Move to Amend, and National Projects Director of Democracy Unlimited. The friendly participants in the San Francisco chapter welcome you to attend.
Location: The Pachamama Alliance, 1009 General Kennedy Ave., San Francisco, CA 94129
Move to Amend works on calling for an amendment to the US Constitution to unequivocally state that inalienable rights belong to human beings only, and that money is not a form of protected free speech under the First Amendment and can be regulated in political campaigns.
If you would like to get involved you can join the San Francisco Move to Amend group. They meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday at 6:30pm of every month at 1009 General Kennedy Ave., San Francisco, CA 94129. Please visit their page for more details. https://movetoamend.org/ca-san-francisco
