Help Get State Cosponsors; Become 20th State

ACTION:  Constituents make a call or send an email

Help get Republican State Senators behind the We the People bill.  Here are some likely supporters. The Republicans hold only a one vote majority in the State Senate and the four senators below won by 1.4%; 0.45%; 4.0%; and 8.4% respectively.

If you are in their districts begin contacting them now and get as many of your friends and relatives to do the same.   Click on their name for the contact information.

Senator Justin Eichorn, Grand Rapids (SD05) won by 1.4% in 2016.  There are about 350 Move to Amend petition signers in his district.

Senator Jerry Relph, St Cloud (SD14) won by .45% in 2016.  There are about 90 Move to Amend petition signers in his district.

Senator Rick Draheim, Madison Lake (SD20) won by 4% in 2016.  There are about 240 Move to Amend petition signers in his district.

Senator Mike Goggin, Red Wing (SD21) won by 8.4% in 2016.  There are about 350 Move to Amend petition signers in his district.

Message:  Hello, I’m ____, one of your constituents.  I am concerned about the influence that outside and undisclosed money has on our elections.  I am concerned that big corporations and unions have more influence through their money than human beings do.  Therefore I support the We the People amendment which will be introduced by Senator John Marty. Please become a cosponsor of this bill to amend our Constitution to firmly establish that money is not speech, and that human beings, not corporations, are persons entitled to constitutional rights.

Let's make Minnesota the 20th state to support passage of the We the People Amendment!

Increase the # of Minnesota Petition Signers

ACTION:  Please print this formand get 4 people to sign the petition.

Support continues to increase.  Just in - 10 names from the south central part of the state.

This linkwill provide you with what to say and what to do with completed forms or you can contact Barbara, Minnesota coordinator, at minnesota [at] movetoamend.orgfor Minnesota specific information.

Nearly 13,000 people in Minnesota have signed the petition supporting the US Constitutional amendment proposed by Move to Amend:

Why is this number important?

  1. Each year we report the number to elected representatives and senators to demonstrate that support is growing for the We the People bill.
  2. Sometimes we call petition signers to ask them to contact their representative or senator and ask them to co-sponsor or vote on our bill.
  3. Think of a snowball rolling down a hill.  As more people are behind this movement the more momentum it will gain.
