The Women's Network, Advocates for Democratic Principles

The Women’s Network, Advocates for Democratic Principles, formed in 2002 in an attempt to unseat Sen. Mitch McConnell. It is dedicated to the Four Freedoms of Franklin D. Roosevelt and the Core Principles of the Democratic Party. The Principles, based on the Party’s credos and platforms, were framed by Network members and adopted June 25, 2003.

(Excerpted from a message to Congress, January 6, 1941, by President Franklin D. Roosevelt)
"We look forward to a world founded upon four essential human freedoms.
The first is freedom of speech and expression.
The second is freedom of every person to worship God in his own way.
The third is freedom from want.
The fourth is freedom from fear."
